Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are an agreement between you and Dylan Cook (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the DeeGee app. By creating an account you accept them. If you don’t, don’t use DeeGee.
Contact: support@deegee-ride.com
1. You must be 18 #
DeeGee is for riders 18 years and older. You confirm your age when you create an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.
2. Your account #
You’re responsible for your account, your password, and what gets posted from it. One account per person. Don’t impersonate another rider, don’t pick a handle designed to be mistaken for someone else, and don’t share your credentials. Tell us at support@deegee-ride.com if you think someone else is using your account.
3. Your content #
What you post stays yours. You give us a licence to store it, and to show it to the riders you chose to show it to — that’s all we do with it, and it’s only what’s needed to run the app. We don’t sell it, license it on, or use it in advertising.
You’re telling us you have the right to post what you post: your own photos, not someone else’s; your own words.
4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour #
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not post, send, or upload:
- harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, or intimidation of any rider;
- hate speech or slurs, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age;
- sexually explicit or pornographic material, or any sexual content involving minors — ever, in any form;
- graphic violence, or content glorifying self-harm;
- content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or is designed to defraud another rider;
- anyone else’s personal information — home address, phone number, workplace, or a location they haven’t chosen to share;
- spam, scams, advertising, or bulk unsolicited friend requests.
Reporting and blocking. Every rider and every check-in has a ⋮ menu with Report and Block. Blocking is immediate and mutual: you vanish from each other’s app. Reports go to a moderation inbox that a human reads.
What we do about reports. We review every report, and we aim to do it within 24 hours. We may remove content, hide a check-in, suspend an account, or permanently delete it, at our discretion and without notice. Objectionable content gets removed and the account that posted it gets terminated. We don’t owe you an appeal, though we’ll generally hear one at support@deegee-ride.com.
5. Other things you may not do #
Don’t check in somewhere you have no right to be, and don’t use DeeGee to organise trespassing. Don’t scrape the app, hammer the API, reverse-engineer it, or try to read data the app doesn’t show you. Don’t use DeeGee to organise anything illegal, including riding where it’s prohibited.
6. Spots and the information in them #
Riding spots in DeeGee are curated and user-submitted. Hours, fees, gate access, conditions, and whether a place still exists all change, and we do not verify any of it. A spot appearing in DeeGee is not permission to ride there. Check with the landowner or operator. Private spots that riders add are visible only to their friends and are their responsibility, not ours.
7. Riding is dangerous, and meeting strangers carries risk #
You ride at your own risk. Off-road and motorcycle riding can cause serious injury, permanent disability, and death. DeeGee tells you where other riders are; it does not make a track safe, check your bike, judge the conditions, or supervise anything. We don’t organise, host, inspect, sanction, or supervise any ride, meetup, or event that gets arranged through the app, and nothing in DeeGee is advice about whether a ride is safe for you. Wear your gear. Ride within your ability.
You decide what you broadcast. A public check-in is visible to riders you have never met, and it says where you are and roughly when. Use the friends-only setting if that’s not what you want. Riders you meet through DeeGee are strangers — we don’t run background checks, verify identities, or vouch for anybody. Meet in public, tell someone where you’re going, and use your judgement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, you release us from claims arising out of riding, out of any ride or meetup arranged through DeeGee, and out of your interactions with other riders.
8. We can suspend or close accounts #
We may suspend or terminate your account for breaking these terms, and we may remove content that breaks them. You can delete your own account at any time from Garage → ⋮ → Delete account, which is permanent (see the Privacy Policy).
9. DeeGee is provided as-is #
DeeGee is free, and provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise the app will be available, uninterrupted, accurate, or free of bugs. Check-ins and notifications depend on networks, Apple, and Google, and can be delayed or lost.
10. Limitation of liability #
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for lost data, for injury or property damage arising from riding, or for the conduct of other riders. Where liability can’t be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to US $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow some of these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
11. Indemnity #
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of DeeGee, your riding, or your breach of these terms.
12. Changes #
We may change these terms. Material changes get a new date at the top and a note in the app’s release notes. Using DeeGee after that means you accept the new version.
13. Governing law #
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma.
14. App Store terms #
If you got DeeGee from Apple’s App Store, you also agree that: these terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to support or maintain DeeGee; Apple is not responsible for any claim about the app, including product liability or legal-compliance claims; and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. Equivalent terms apply to Google Play where Google requires them.
